Leeson House Trip
We had a great (and a very misty) trip to Leeson House today. We found out about the different types of rocks that can be found in the local area, including Purbeck Limestone. We also found out about how soil is made, how fossils are formed and how to identify different minerals. We went for a walk through the village and Mike told us lots of stories along the way. Exciting tales of smugglers and tragic tales of children working in the stone quarries. A big thank you to Mike and Amelia at Leeson for a fantastic day and to all the parent helpers who came too. The children were all well behaved and were a credit to the school- well done!
