Oil Pastel pictures

We've been making fantastic flower pictures in the style of Georgia O'Keefe. Our Science work has really helped us to make detailed observational drawings of the different parts of the flowers.

Year 3 Traffic Survey

Year 3 spent the day in groups counting all the different type of vehicles that passed the school gates.

We did some great observational drawings of flowers today.

Seed Dispersal

We found out today how seeds from different plants travel away from the parent plant. Can you tell a grown up all the different ways seeds can be dispersed? First, we read descriptions of what the seeds look like and how this helps them to travel. Then we looked at different seeds and matched them to the descriptions. After that, we made some careful observational drawings of the seeds and labelled them.

Talking Persuasive writing

This week we are learning all about what makes a great persuasive letter. We have started by doing a story plan which we will be learning with actions. Keep an eye out for the video...
