Dying fabric
We used natural dyes made from onion skins and red cabbage to dye some white cotton today. We discussed how Bronze Age man would have discovered which plants and vegetables would make the best dyes. We thought they might have found out by accident! We also watched a BBC clip about how they made wool to make warm clothes from sheep fleece. It's harder than it looks!
Dazzling Daffodils!
We popped to the park today to see how our daffodil bulbs were getting on. Look how much they've grown! Some of them are in flower too!

They kept sheep and discovered that they could twist the sheep wool and make cloth by weaving on loam. We had a go at twisting wool fibres. It was hard team work.
