We were really lucky in year 3 to have a visit from Mrs Parker, she has just returned from Italy where she was lucky enough to visit the rediscovered city of Pompeii! What is the name of the volcano that destroyed this city in 72AD?

Did you know that …
There are 26 letters of the alphabet but they make 44 sounds.
It is essential that all our pupils know these sounds. It will enable them to become confident readers and spellers.
The link below offers great support and advice for parents and children. It is vital that we teach the children the correct pronunciations. We are finding that the children have many misconceptions, and are making mistakes from reception right through to Year 6.

Perfect pizza group.
We got so involved with making our delicious pizza that we forgot about the iPad. By the time we remembered, it was too late! There was nothing left! Sorry pizza group!
